2016 Annual Golf Tournament Results - The second annual golf tournaent was held on May 26th at Rochester Place Golf course. Wehad a total of 55 golfers participating and it was a great time for all. The winners of the tournament were: 1st place - Cataldo Bonanni, Andy McCann, Ross Ienna and Ralph Iannitelli. Second place: Bob Stefanovich, Gary Deehan, Paul Stannard, James Warnock. Third place: Bob and Denise Garneau, Ron Barrette, Ken Killen. INDIVIDUAL WINNERS: Closest to the pin & Closest to the line women: Denise Garneau. Closest to the pin men: Bob Garneau, Closest to the line men: Bill Houde & Chuck Robson

Toronto Annual General Meeting - CCRETIREES ORGANIZATION held a General Meeting on Wednesday Noon on April 27th at the Georgetown Masonic Hall, 12 Lindsay Court, Georgetown, Ontario. There has been extraordinary interest in the new Pacific and our members got an opportunity to see this exciting new product up close.A record 73 members and spouses attended, making this the best-attended one of these programs we've ever had.

Letter to Premier Wynne - Premier Wynne I am a retiree and serve on the Board of Directors of the CCRetirees Organization which represents the salaried non-bargaining retirees of the former Chrysler Canada and the current FCA Automobiles. We have been working toward pension legislation reform with respect to funding rules in Ontario and the status of pensioners in the event of bankruptcy and/or restructuring federally. Unfortunately the party in power at both the federal and provincial levels of government at the current time have not done much to address our concerns. The other day, I read your admission of a mistake with regard to the high cost of electricity in Ontario. Our members of the CCRetirees organization have definitely felt the impact of these high electricity rates and are very hopeful of some remedies with respect to them. I also learned it was your intention to lead your party in the next election. Given these events I felt compelled to ask that you refrain from making another mistake of significance…

Recent CFP Information on Federal Target Benefit P… - Bill C-27: Federal Framework for Target Benefit Plans November 11, 2016 Murray Gold With little fanfare, the Federal Government has introduced legislation to amend thePension Benefits Standards Act(“PBSA”) to regulate “target benefit” plans. These are plans that offer a formula-style “target” benefit that looks much like a defined benefit but that is not assured. Target benefit plans do not require past service funding guarantees from the plan sponsor; rather they are typically funded under contractual terms that fix the level or range of contributions. Bill C-27 seeks to accomplish two things in relation to target benefits (“TBs”). First, it creates a new structure that allows for single employer TB plans. In addition, Bill C-27 also creates a process for converting member entitlements in defined benefit (“DB”) plans into target benefits (“TBs”).
